In Selim’s period, Istanbul Selimiye Mosque, Halich Artillery and Engineer Barracks, Ishakchi and Uskudar Warehouses were built. He had had restored Eyup Sultan Mosque and built silver gates. Beside, he renovated some parts of Mevlana Tomb in Konya.
