In the period of Sultan Mahmud I who acceded the throne
after Patrona Halil Revolt, the architecture was not so active, as it was in the Tulip Period.
The Greatest work of this era was Hekimoglu Ali Pasha Mosque and Kulliyesi. The Fountain
of Sultan Mahmud I was also among the works built in this period. In the sultanate of
Mahmoud I there were also works built outside Istanbul. Osman Pasha Kulliyesi was built in
Halep and Hobbenye. Sultan Mahmud I Tekke (convent) and Sehili was built in Cairo. Beside,
Ezurum Vezir Ibrahim Pasha Mosque, Cagaloglu Haci Bekir Aga Kulliyesi, Sumru Serif Halil
Pasha Mosque and Kulliye were built.
