It was began to be built in Istanbul Kagithane in 7^th November 1892 in order to save and protect the poor children and disabled women and men. It was thought to be built by Sultan Abdulhamid (April 9, 1890), and built by Grand Vizier Halil Pasha with the financial support of the Sultan. It was built in 4 years and opened in 2^nd February 1896. Darulaceze is still helping a lot of people from infants to destitute olds.
