It is the
tomb of Celebi Mehmet (the fifth Sultan), near Yesil Cami in Bursa, it was built in 1421.
It is based on a drum, which is 4.57 m high and it is covered by a 6.60-m high, almost
sharp dome and it is octagon shaped. Although it seems as one floored fromthe outside, in
fact it is two floored with the big aisle containing the sarcophagus and under its vaulted
grave underneath. There is inscription (kitabe) that was written with golden gild on the
sarcophagus. |
