The mosque,
which had been built in Bursa by the order of Yildirim Bajazid in 1395-1399, is the
biggest of the architectural monuments in Bursa. The name of Ivaz Pasha is written on the
door of the mosque.
It is the first sample of domed mosques and
it is 56x68 m. It has divided in to 5 parts with 12 walls. It has 20 domes.
There is a fountain under the open dome.
There are holes around the fountain for reading Koran.
It was written the name of the master that had done the
mosque (Elhac Mehmed Abdülaziz Ibni Dakira) on the right of the pulpit that had been made
by collecting of the frames made of walnut tree and adorned by the embossed curled
branches. There are minarets in each of two corners of the front part.
