Ozdemir Pasha was from the Caucasian Mamelukes of Egypt, He was a famous Commander. He joined Hadim Suleyman Pasha’s campaign to India, in 1538. At the end of this campaign he settled in Yemen and appointed there as the Governor and he invaded Sana. Later, he became Yemen Governor and repressed the revolt of Pehlivan Hasan. He died in Sana in 1561.
