He was born in Fener. He played an important
role in yeniceri revolts. In the period of Sultan Selim III, he served as a vizier. He was
appointed as the governor of Tripoli because of his success in tax collecting. Later, he
was accused by bribery and he was exiled to Cyprus. After a short time, he was forgiven
and appointed as a vizier.
He was appointed as the governors of
Egypt and Salonica. During, Selim III’s New Order preparations he seemed as if he
supported the Sultan but he incited the yeniceris and Kabakci Mustafa Revolt had begun.
Sultan Mahmud succeeded Selim III and
he punished the murderers of Selim. Kose Musa Pasha was among them; he was executed by
cutting his head off. |
