His real name was Mahmud Kemal Inal. He was a Turkish historian and writer. He was born in Istanbul, in 1870. He graduated from Sehzadebasi Secondary School and attended to the Academy of Political Science for a short time. Later, he finished the Faculty of Law. He learned Arabic, Persian, French, theology and calligraphy. He worked in many different governmental offices. He established and directed, the Museum of the Turkish Islamic Masterpieces. He wrote biographies and historical works. Some are; Last Century’s Turkish Poets, Last Grand Viziers in the Ottoman Empire, Last Calligraphers, Hos Sada.
