He was born in 1536 or in1537. He was the son of Hasan Can who was the courtier of Sultan Selim II. He was educated by famous scholar Karamani Mehmet Efendi. He was appointed to Yildirim Medrese (university) in Bursa city. He was invited to Manisa city; to educate Sehzade Murad (Prince Murad). When Murad ascended to the throne, Sadeddin Efendi came to the palace with him. After the death of Sultan Murad III, Sadeddin Efendi saved his position and continued to be influential in the place. He became one of the advisors of Sultan Mehmed III. He played an important role, in the Egri war and the Hachova triumph and his influence was increased. Sinan Pasha was appointed the Grand Vizier with his favour. But, administrative failures of Sinan Pasha lead Sadeddin Efendi to loose his privilege. However, he was appointed as the Sheyhulislam (Minister of the Islamic issues) and he revenged from his enemies. He died in 1599.
