Eyyubu El Ensari was from the Hazrec tribe
of Medina. He was the one of the first believers of Hz Mohammed and he
joined the ceremony of taking an oath, in Akabe. After Hz. Mohammed migrated to Medina, he
stayed in the house of Eyyubu el Ensari until the small mosque and the rooms were built.
He joined all
the wars commanded by Hz. Mohammed, and showed great breviaries. When Hz. Mohammed had
passed away, he went to Caliph Ali. Eyyubu el Ensari joined to the wars of Cemel, Siffin
and Nerivan, and also fought against the Byzantine Empire. He joined Yezid’s army that
marched through Istanbul (671). Eyyubu El Ensari was killed in the besiege of Istanbul,
and his name was given to the region, his tomb was built, in Istanbul. |
