He was one of the important commanders, lived in the first years of the Ottoman Empire. He won many military successes, in the Roumelia campaigns. Evrenos Gazi was one of the commanders, as Haci Ilbey, Gazi Fazil and Ece Bey who accepted the Ottoman authority after the conquest of Karesi State. After 1356, one of the Ottoman borders’ administration was given to Evrenos Gazi and he ruled his region very successfully, and invaded many castles and new territories.

In 1385, Evrenos Ghazi with Vizier Candarli Halil Pasha went to Macedonia campaign. The Vardar plain, Yenice, Uskup, Manastir and Ohri were conquered. In the following years, Ipsala, Gumulcine, Serez and Ergiri were annexed in to the Ottoman lands.
