Alemgir Shah is one of the important monarchs of Turco-Mongol Empire established by Babur Shah in India. Babur Shah was one of the forsestors of Timur the famous Mongolian Emperor. Turco-Mongol Empire was reigned between 1618-107. Alemgir Shah’s real name was Evrenkizip. His father was Sahýcihan and his mother was Mumtaz Mahal. Sahýcihan is known by Tacmahal which he built in the name of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Alemgir Shah was crowned in 1658 and he reined nearly fifty years until his death. He invaded Golkende, Bicabur and Degen. He was an intelligent and well educated monarch. He put great emphasis on science. After his death the empire began to loose power. |
