Sultan Alauddin Keykubat was one of the last monarchs of Anatolian Seljuks. He was crowned under very chaotic circumstances. Because of these circumstances some historians do not accept him as a Sultan. There are two rumours about his death, one is he was executed by Gazan Han as a result of riot in Isfahan. The other one is, he went to Byzantium and prisoned there by Emperor Michael. His dead is in the same year the Ottoman Empire established, 1299.
