| He was the son of Sheikh Siraceddin Ismail who immigrated to Amasya and the brother of grand vizier Rushtu Pasha. In 1874, he was appointed as the judge of Istanbul and later he took the Chief Judge of Anatolia rank. He was sent to Afghanistan with a governmental mission (1877). He represented Sultan Abdulhamid II’s message and the gifts to Emir Sir Ali Khan. He returned to Istanbul, but the Sultan’s expectations from Afghanistan could not have been reached. He dismissed Ahmed Efendi and sent to Amasya. | ||
