| When the war started, in 1914 Russia occupied Galicya (north-eastern of Hungary). The allied forces reinforced by Germany recaptured the region, in 1915. In July, 1917; Russia attacked Galicya again. At first, the Russian Army moved forward fast but they were stopped after ten days and they retreated. In Galicya front, the Ottoman army allied with Germany, Austria, and Hungary against Russia. | ||
